St Mark’s Lutheran School Choir
St Mark’s Lutheran Primary School community has a rich musical culture. Students begin their choir journey from Years 1-3, participating in weekly singing groups which include vocal exploration, ear training and musical games. They then have the opportunity to progress to our senior choir in Years 4 to 6. There are many opportunities throughout the year when students can use their God given abilities to bless the school and broader community. The choir performs regularly at assemblies, special events, school concerts, carols events and Sash Ferguson nursing home. This year they were honoured to be invited to perform alongside senior ensembles at the Cornerstone College Cabaret.
Tonight they will be performing, under the direction of St Mark’s music teacher and choir leader, Ms Ellen Lyall, “The Light of Life” by local composer Annie Kwok, and a popular favourite, “Jingle Bell Rock”.
